A recent study published in The Journal of the American Medical Association reported that women who have non-digital dental X-rays while pregnant may be at higher risk of having babies with low birth weights. At Dr. Sun's, we use only digital X-rays which produce better results with much lower exposure. The study found no risk for exposure at the levels used for digital X-Rays.

We offer three digital systems: intraoral, panographs & cephalometrics, which have 50-90% less radiation than conventional film-based x-rays. The images appear instantaneously on the computer monitor allowing Dr. Sun to immediately review the images and discuss treatment options with you.
